Case Study – Lynn

Lynn underwent eyelid reduction surgery (blepharoplasty) which went wrong resulting in physical and psychological injuries.

We successfully represented Lynn following eyelid reduction surgery (blepharoplasty).

It was our case that Lynn’s treatment was negligent as her surgeon both failed to warn Lynn of the risk of permanent retraction/out-turning of the eyelids and removed too much skin from her lower eyelids, leaving Lynn with retracted lids and a left lid that was detached from the eyeball.

Lynn also suffered psychological injury and was extremely self conscious about her appearance.

Lynn required two revision operations which involved adding a skin-graft to her left lower eyelid.

We successfully recovered £18500 by way of damages for Lynn which comprised recompense for her physical and psychological injuries, surgery and therapy costs.
